Bed wetting may affect daytime behaviour, in a manner that seems to be ADHD. Other causes of ADHD-like behaviour might be Red and Yellow food dyes found in products as popular as "Eggo"!

If your child is dry in the day but not at night, he/she can learn to stop bed wetting in a few weeks. We guarantee it.

If you've tried the obvious things (restricting water, waking, drugs, alarms) and it didn't help, then your child has 'complicated enuresis' ie: two, three, or more causes that need to be addressed. The average case I see is a boy whose parents snore, has a slight food sensitivity, has some poor sleep habits, and is anxious about sleeping due to the expectation of wetting once again. This is why no single remedy has much chance of working. The good news bedwetting can be fixed. Enuresis is a "multi-causal" problem, and is best treated with a "multi-modal" solution. This usually involves a series of changes surrounding night habits, over a period of several weeks..

Virtually every parent that we meet tells us:
- My child is a heavy sleeper
- He/she wears pull-ups
- He/she wets the pull-ups and often the sheets too.
- He will never hear an alarm or feel a bladder signal.

In response, I smile and teach the child to do just that! Generally within three or four days, the child is behaving differently.
- The child goes to bed without a pull-up
- The child drinks a big glass of water before bed.
- Soon the child will get up at 11pm with slightly wet underwear, but dry sheets, and go to the bathroom.
- The sheets never get wet again, without pull-ups being used!

The DryKids program addresses the common factors in the wet child: deep sleep, small bladder, food sensitivities, bowel complications, and lack of confidence or knowledge of how to fix it, amongst other issues.

Bed wetting solutons for older children, teens and adults:

Medical issues are more prevalent in older children, so the first thing we do is determine if any obstacles to being dry are present. The treatment methods are similar to those for small children but additional components are usually required. Teens and adults can take longer to get results but the program is no less successful.

"Now that I see it, this makes so much sense..."

That comment came from a client who is an MD. Doctors are the first to admit that they can be as puzzled as anyone with bed wetting, because it isn't a medical issue, it can't be fixed with drugs or surgery. If a child is dry in the day and wet at night, there is usually a sleep issue present. The good news is that drybed training can offer a child better quality sleep, reducing the chance of ADHD-like daytime behaviours, night terrors, sleep apnea and other deep-sleep problems.

If anyone tells you "don't worry, he/she will outgrow it", just ask them... when? Many DryKids clients are completely over bed wetting in a week or two, some take longer, but in every case there are encouraging changes in just a few days.

You can fix it now, it takes a little knowledge and a little work, but it's worth it to see how proud the child can be when he/she is waking up dry. Click Here to see testimonials Emails from DryKids clients
